double fireing double shotgun
A friend of mine has a sxs 12ga "animo eibar" that double fires when the right trigger is pulled.
i.e. pull and both barrels fire.
What could be the problem? how much would it cost to fix?
also, how much would this shotgun be worth (approx) if it were not busted?
thanks 1,000,000

Possible dirt or rust problem. Also possibly just oxidized oil or grease. More likely a weak or broken spring.
A smith could probably repair your gun with ease, but the bill might be a considerable portion of the total value of the piece. This is a Spanish utility gun and is worth somehat less than a Savage/Stevens in the same condition.

At worst it's a small matter to fix but it has to come apart to be examined.
Spanish firearms in my experience give a good appearance on the outside but are inferior in quality of metalwork and fit and finish
of interior parts. I have also seen a lot of soft parts that should have been hardened, which may be the problem here.
Fix it and unload it.
As suggested above, it's sub-Stevens.0
