i need help with information on colt

I need to know more about this gun i can't find it in my books i think it was made in the 40's it is a colt 1911 the s# is 2007491 and it has the folowing on it also anad 1 78 any help would be appreciated thanks in advance-brandon
also i would like to know what it is worth

  saxon thanks for reply and yes it was a military weapon i think the anad 1 78 may be unit or armorer the pistol is not mine just an older friend has it and would really appreciate some info once again thanks for responding-brandon ( i will look at it tuesday and see if there is any more info on it)
