Recoil Resistant scope update
The old thread for this got locked.
Just thought I'd update any who were intersted.
Thanks for all the advice by the way.
I took a real careful look at the scope (Bushnell Banner 3-9x40) and fired a few more rounds thru my Mini-14. Poor groups again. 4" at 50 yards was best I could do. Scope has about 700 rounds on it.
The rearmost lens in the eyepiece is floating/moving a small amount with each shot. I can hear it click and push the lens with my finger and it clicks and moves about 20-30 thousanths up/down/sideways in the grove its mounted in. I took the scope off and when I hold it up to my eye and use my finger to click the back lens around the crosshairs jump and move to a slightly different rest position each time. I'll send it back to bushnell pretty soon and see if they can fix it. Maybe I'll just use it as a spotting scope rofl, the picture is still nice and clear.
I bought a Millet Gold Buck off of cheaperthandirt based on advice in the the previous thread to put on the Mini-14. Hope it works out better then the Bushnell Banner.
Thanks again you all.
