Steyr 95 Dutch Carbine
Collector's question. Mine is not the cavalry model in the books, but an apparant "arsenal trial". The stock and top hanguard are arsenal modified rifle units retaining the top barrel band and bayonet lug, moved way aft and leaving the top handguard extending 3" beyond the band which also has a sling swivel.Except for the bolt, the wood and all metal parts are matched ser. no. with a"C" at the end on the Steyr 1896 receiver and wood parts. Apparantly orig. sling has leather ends on OD nylon sewn strap. I am considering selling the piece and would appreciate any info on it's rarity and value. There are no importer's marks at all and the Queen Wilhamina (sp?)cartouche vaguely visable on the stock. Thanks for your time and info.
