Rem. 700, How to change to MAGS
I have a Remington 700, 308. And want to convert it to use mags. How would you do this? Where to look? Any problems when you do do this?

The easiest way would be to call Brownells and buy one of their HS Precision conversions for short, standard, long or belted mag length $185.95 or their other kit by White Tail for standard-long or magnum length for $119.95
edit*
I believe both kits are designed for BDL stocks but with some inletting could be made to work for the ADL stocks as well.

Look on the remington 700 sights on different auction sights, e-bay, auction arms , ect. There are Remington DBM bottom metal kits for sale off and on. They general run between $45-$60.00. They will requier yo to remove a small portion of the wood so the removal buttons will operate. Other than that this kit will drop righ in to a BDL stock. I have done this several time on my remington 700 bdl rifles. 0 -

I remember a few years back (about 5), there was a company from Allentown PA.?(I think). Anyway they made a conversion kit for the BDL to a mag. I have one and it works just fine and their is no need to modify the stock. The cost was about $50.00. I will check to see it I can find the box to get more info. 0 -
I just found the info. However they only advertise for LA Remingtons. You may want to call and ask if interested. They are called KWIK KLIP. The web site is trexlerindustries.com 0 -
