who was the manufacture of the model 60 for j.c. higgens ? thanks , wrench .

The J.C. Higgins model 60 was made for Sears by the old High Standard, but it is a .22 semi auto not a shot gun. Check the model number again.

hedog, i'm looking at item # 5311023 . i emailed the shop and asked him of the manufacture , he had no clue . i also looked it up in the numrich catolog but didn't find it there . now i no why , wrong model number .it is a 12 ga shotgun in the picture , either wrong picture or wrong model number . thanks for your reply , wrench .

i contacted the shop again ,asked him to confirm model number . he claims it is a model 60 - higgens 12 semi-auto . can anybody explain whats going on ? i can't believe higgens would have two different model 60's . wrench .

The model 60 is a semiauto shotgun produced by high standard, it is definitely not a 22.
