Does Colt still do Factory Letters? If so, anybody got the address and cost?

Do the letters from Colt verifying the firearm in question have any monetary value? I have one verifying an 1882 SAA, not the gun, just the letter. Has anyone ever seen one of these on an auction? 0 -
These letters are available form the COLT HISTORIAN box 1868, Hartford, CT 06144. The costs of these letters varies by the type of firearms that yu wish researched. Percussion pistols are the most expensive- about $300, while other firearms can be reasearched for $100 to $200. If the firearm can't be reserched I believe they will refund $50. I had this done on a Colt Agent revolver which I was told was from the Colt engineering referece collection. The factory letter confirming this came back in about five weeks.

Thanks. Went to the link and am still a bit befuzzled. For a Police Positive Special it says "$75.00 Up". I wonder, do you send the info and a check for the 75 and if they want "up" they'll let you know?
