value on Remington 11-48
I have a remington 11-48 made in 1948 with serial # 5007770. I'm wondering what the value of this gun is? It's in super condition.
My Grandad gave me the gun. He bought it right after world war 2.

RN - I have a Rem 11-48 12 ga (s/n 5021699) that I picked up for less than $200.00 about three years ago. It's a good gun, decent blue, kinda poor black paint on trigger guard. I originally bought it strictly for deer hunting/buckshot but have shot squirrels, rabbits, doves, etc with it as well. I doubt the gun is of any real $ value, and I think a nice one can still be bought at $200.00 or so. Best, Jim

timbroman has it right. With a vent rib and original butt plate in really good shape maybe a little more. With a add on choke device, add on recoil pad and plain barrel a lot less. 0 -
One other thing. Go to search, then completed auctions and search for 48. That is the best way to get the current market value. 0 -
11/48 IN .28ga or .410 will bring double what a .12ga will. Add a vent rib;$50.00 more. Skeet choke another $50.00 0
