need help finding the ideal rifle sling
I was at a gun show in northern illinois once and there was a man there who had invented a sling that would hold the rifle up to the chest in a way that would distrubite the weight evenly so the wearer would not tire if he had to carry the rifle for extended periods of time
this sling would allow the carrier to quickly and easily go into the fireing position
i sure would like to find some slings that could have these capabilities
the 1st one i get i'd like to use on my sks paratrooper----would like to buy a few however
if anyone out here knows of such a sling i'd be ETERNALLY grateful! you can email me at the-7th-son-of-7@mindspring.com
Thanks---Larry

It sounds as if an Assault Rifle sling is what you need. You should be able to go to your local gun shop, and find what you need.If the sling does not come with the adapter make sure you pick one up.It allows you to position the Rifle in several different ways.
Best!!!

Brownell's "Latigo" sling is an excellent sling.

Either Bass Pro or Cabela's advertised a sling similar to what you are describing. It would allow you also to shoot without removing it from your shoulder. 0 -
Another possibility for leather reproduction and service rifle slings made to mil. spec. is: Turner Saddlery, P.O. Box 120, Clay, AL 35048-0120; 205.680.9377; www.turnersling.com

The sling you saw at the gun show was probabaly the "mountain stalker" sling. Attaches to the front with a standard swivel and attaches to the stock with a velcro wrap. Cabellas carries the sling if I am not mistaken. You can also see ads for it on the outdoor channel. The sling allows carrying and the ability to come to shooting position rather quickly. Hope this helps.
