Colt Commander LW 1967

Picked up a Mint Colt Commander S/N range of 520001LW 45 acp.
Question:
Did it come with Coltwood(brown plastic with embossed Colt logo) stocks or brown checkered wood stocks with Colt gold medallions?

  Mine is 52000LW. How about the grips?

  My Super SN 56xxx also has brown (rather ugly) plastic stocks.

  we have one in the display case at the shop. it also has those rather unattractive brown grips. it(they) is a nice piece. i have seen one with after market grips in a very light non bright matte finish rosewood, wich seemed to complament the gun.
  
  What other dungeon is so dark as ones own heart, what jailer so inexorable as ones own mind.
