I'd advise having it polycoated. I believe its called Gun-Kote or something like that. It will be alot more protective than any type of blueing which really offer no protection from corrosion.

If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

The sound of a 12 gauge pump clears a house fatser than Rosie O eats a Big Mac !

Epoxy primer it. Dont use arasol can though, Go to an auto parts store and get some good automotive epoxy primer (flat black) in a quart can, Be sure to get the hardner thats correct for it. If you dont have a spray gun, Borrow one. Be sure to tell the person you borrow the spray gun from your using it for epoxy primer, And get his advise on cleaning the spray gun right after your done painting, With his recommended cleaning solvent, Such as lacuar thinner. You will need a very good resperator when spraying epoxy, This stuff is very strong and bad for your health.
The automotive epoxy primer is a extreamly durrable finnish, You will be happy with the results.
