need help with gun value

my father has recently passed away. i have his remington model 700 243 cal bolt action rifle with a redfield scope (3x9) this gun was purchased in 1966 and i have the original reciept. he paid $274.90 for both. the gun is in exellent shape and never abused. can anyone help. Thanks.

I would even appreciate a web site that has values on it.

  Believe DUCKHUNTER is in the ball park. Do not sell your Dad's gun.
  You will regret it later. Further, the Remington 700 series along with the six are still under a recall, pre 1982. 101
