Winchester Model 88 .358 Clip

Recently I purchased a Model 88 .358 cal. Looking at it closer I seen the clip in stamped .308. The clip works with the .358 ammo. Question is did Winchester ever stamp a clip with the caliber .358 on it ?

  The clip that was in the gun you got was a post 64 clip.The original clip should have been a flat bottom clip and I'm guessing the clip you got has steps on the bottom.No clips were stamped for the 358 or any cal for the pre 64's.
