cmp lead times

does any one have any real world experience with purchasing garands from the cmp? i sent in an order with all proper paperwork in may and haven't heard anything yet.

  They have a great deal of information and the CMP master
  may answer your question. I believe that for now, they are busy
  filling orders for the 03 and A3's. 101

  ordered some 03's 4/1/02 received the last one 6/20/02, ordered and 03/a3 & some moss. m-44's 6/1/02 received them 9/11/02.

  I recently received a M1903 from CMP; almost 5 months to the day from when I mailed in the paperwork. After 90 days I e-mailed them and was assured that they had received the order. Gives one an opportunity to work on that great virtue of patience.

  Have purchased several, both from DCM and CMP. With the old DCM it
  usually took much much longer. Last M-1 Garand I purchased from CMP
  about 10 months ago took about 4 months but at the price it was very
  well worth it. Did you enclose, with your purchasing package a self addressed stamped post card so they can authenticate their recieving
  your package? You can also call them to see how they are doing on
  your purchase. Also, if you have a problem with the rifle after
  recieving it they have a good armourer you may contact who will
  troubleshoot your problem and send any parts to correct it free.

  didn't think of the postcard thing? didn't see that in any of the instructions. seem to be many danish sa var barrel garrand coming out now from the post i see on other forums... maybe mine too?

  Sent order for service grade springfield m1 on 05-03-02. Recieved at CMP on 05-06-02. Recieved rifle 09-10-02. Also times on rifles depends on what you ordered. Some winchesters are waits in the years. E-mail orest and he will check on your order. Takes a while for e-mail but at least you aren't bothering them over the phone.
