Model 70 scope mount vs model 700

Gents,

Does anyone know if a scope mount for a model 70 will fit onto a model 700. I have my scope mounted on a 300 win mag on a model 70. I'm looking to place it onto a 30-06 model 700 mountain lss.

  If the model 70 you are refering to is a Winchester model 70. No it will not fit. If you are using a ring and base system like leupold redfield or burris. All you need is a new base the rings will still work.
