Judging by schematics of the 2 there are enough differences that I would say there MIGHT be a FEW parts that interchange. The bolt systems are different. Brown. is a pin and stop Rem., pin and spring. The parts that look alike are the trigger, hammer and bolt stop. The browning has a lot more little parts such as pins and springs. Some of these might interchange. Someone would have to know the 2 intimately to tell you which would go where.

The difference is about 400 bucks. Not many of the parts interchange but so what? The model 11 is a great shooting gun for the money and essentially indestructable if you change the adjustment rings when you change loads.Pattern it before you go hunting, they tend to pattern high.Get the barrel bored for choke tubes and you've got an all-round gun for hunting trap and skeet.Check out choketubes.com.Also you don't feel like you've got to take great care of it like you would a Browning, just shoot and enjoy.I do.

I have exchanged some parts between the rem and brn auto's. Things like the mag tube will work if I remember right. Don't count onit, though. There are lots of parts for the rem auto's if you look in the right place.

There is a metal ring on the magazine tube that must be moved if your switching from light to heavy loads and back. Remove the cap and the forearm, now you see 3 thing: bronze ring with metal ring around it,the big spring, and a small metal ring. For light loads put small metal right against the reciever, with the bevel facing the muzzle, then the spring, and have the bronze piece in the front. For heavy loads, put the spring against the reciever, small ring against the spring with bevel facing reciever, then the bronze piece. If your gun has the cutts compensator, place the bronze peice against the reciever, then the spring, fianlly the small ring with the bevel facing the muzzle.

These are great guns, though they kick a bit harder than current semi's do.I love the trigger on mine. One major downside!!! Mine has the safety in front of the trigger, rather than a pushbutton. If using heavy loads its very easy to jam against my finger and it hurts!!

Overall i love mine.It was made in 1924 and is still going strong. It is on the same patent as the A5.Browning sold the rights to make the gun only in the US to Remington, and the other patent covered the rest of the world.Good businessman. You can contact Remington, they will send you a photocopy of the original manual.

I'v used a mod.11 in 20 ga. for upland game for many yrs. I use my own loads and do not change anything, but all of my loads are lite feild loads. The biggest dif I can see with my eyes is my mod. 11 does not have a magazine cut off where as the Browning does.In the excitment of the hunt I'v never noticed any recoil.I can't speak to parts interchangibilty or other internal difs. Enjoy it.
