sks ?
i'm not too familiar with sks' and have a question about the 'fixed clips'. if i bought an sks with a 10rnd fixed clip, how easy is it to take that off and use a 50rnd detachable clip?

Very easy to change from fixed to detachable .Simply remove the trigger assembly take out the fixed mag.replace the trigger ass. and the detachable mags will snap in and out.

Very easy, but you may experience reliabiltiy issues.
You can load your fixed 10 with stripper clips faster than you can correct a jam . . .0 -
I have used a few diffrent siza and type mags in my sks . I had to do a dit of work on the detachabel mags to get them to work .I had to weld an extention onto the retaining tab of about 4MM. this kept the mag from falling out.the spring loaded release on your gun was only intended to hold up the bottom of the fixed mag . mine do work ok now but I think you will be lucky if you find one to work well without any modification . ...you can find a twenty round fixed mag allmost the same as the original typ .this may be more reliabel and works ok with stripper clips .If 20 rounds is enough .
no reliabel---no fun0 -
franhymer, how hard was that to weld on, and is it worth it more than stripper clips? i want a 50rnd clip, but if its too much trouble i guess i could just use stripper clips. 0
