8mm Mannlicher Schoenaur?

There are a few 8X56 Mannlicher Schoenauer rifles around and the owners have a very difficult time finding ammo. It would be a mistake to shoot this in an 8X57 when it is so valuable to the owners of rifles chambered for it.

It is just empty brass now. I wonder, why couldn't owners of these rifles just trim 8mm Mauser brass down and load that?

Pretty simple matter to form the brass from 8x57. I have the dies; all you have to do is trim the shells back, resize & anneal. You could use .30-06; I've seen it done that way, but there's the potential some idiot would just slap it in an '06 chamber . . . .
