The Standard Catalog of Firearms says the Mod. 75 came out in March of 1997.If it's a Hunter Model it's worth $600.00 in excellent condition. You need to give more information for a more accurate price.

Thanks ATF- My Info is fuzzy that I had got from my buddy.
After he told me it's a Model A5, I though he had meant an AV model.
I only know of A1, A2, A3 models. I think I have to look at it again,

I had seen it only once about 4 years ago. But it had the same beauty
    as a Weatherby MK V.

    Thanks!!!!

I see the A-V Deluxe models go in roughly the $900 -- $1200 range, depending on caliber, used in excellent condition. The deluxe's have very nice walnut stocks with lots of figure and checkering, a very deep blue, engraved trigger guard and floorplate, etc.

Look at this to compare: http://www.gunbroker.com/auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=5136932

BTW . . . A-V, AV, A5 -- "V" is the roman numeral for "5". Yes, the Sako 75's do refer to action length by I, III, IV, and V -- but if the rifle is as old as you say, it ain't a 75. I could be wrong, but I don't believe this applies for the older models. For instance, I have a Sako Deluxe AV in .30-06, which if it were a Sako 75 it would be a IV. I also have a Sako AIII in .308 as well as .270 (which in the 75 is a IV).

    Thanks Sundowner!
That helps a ton! The pic is about what I remember it looking like.
My buddy needs the money so I wanted to give him a fair price for it.
Im sure its a shooter to,I Never had a Sako before but hey first time for everything!

The Rifle is in 7mm It would fill a gap in my over stuffed collection
some where between my 22's or my 45-120's

    Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You won't be disappointed by a Sako when it comes to shooting. Not only do they shoot well, they are easy on the eyes. You'll be hard pressed to find a Remington that compares. Enjoy!!!
