Hi-Point .45auto
I am wondering if this gun is any good.I saw one today for 120.00 and thought maybe i could keep it on my boat or in the tackle box.It was big ugly and heavy as a couple of bricks but is this gun a jam o matic or fair.I solved my concealed gun issue for anyone who tried to help for 100.00 more than what i intended on spending i can get a chiefs special .40s+w.

If it anything like their 9mm carbine it would be reliable.But they sure are ugly.They have a lifetime warranty so if you wanted one for the tackle box it wouldnt look out of place.

a friend has one never had any problems. might be better off in a tool box than a tackle box, could double as a hammer....

Yup everything I've heard sounds about like my experience. They actually shoot reliably, and with rather low recoil, but they are ungodly heavy. I think it would be an ideal gun to keep on a boat, just do to the fact that its so cheap, if it ever fell off or rusted shut, it wouldn't be a problem.

Don't get a pre MKS one though, those suck, the MKS's have had really good experience with, suprising for their appearance and price.

But on the other hand I recall seeing some .38spl and .357mag Smith & Wesson revolvers in shotgun news (police trade-in) for really cheap too, I'd rather one of them.
