I've had problems with them. Their steel is thin and the feed lips fragile. They're cheap...., but they're CHEAP. As for other options USA's are believe or not actually better, but I still wouldn't consider them a good choice. The PMI ones are good-excellent, but expensive. Then again, which is worse spending $60 on (4 @ $15 each) 30rd mags that don't work or $50-60 on one 30rd mag that does? You decide.

If it is 8 years after the ban and a place has thousands of a high capacity magazines left for very cheap prices, do you think that they are good or just cheap? If they were actually good, they'd either be out of them by now or charging more money. Over the last 8 years people would have bought a couple of them and then re-ordered a lot more because they worked so well. Instead people bought them cheaply and figure even though they don't work, at least they didn't cost much, but I'm not ordering more. Hence they still have a lot left at the supplier.

I bought some for my Mini-14 and had nothing but trouble. The Ramline plastic ones feed better but still aren't the answer.

I bought my first Mini almost 16 years ago and currently have two of them. My experience with the after market Mags have been very mixed. The USA's are real hit and miss...Westerns were poor overall. The Plastic ones worked ok but seemed to wear out or break after moderate use. PMI and Ruger Factory Mags are the only ones that were trouble free. Good luck with your choice.

if you are talking HI-CAP try one of ea in USA, for standard 5 or 10 rd stick with Ruger. if you have big bucks try to find Ruger pre-ban HI-CAPS.

    What does PMI stand for?

Many aftermarket mag manufacturers turned out magazine bodies as fast as they could with minimal or no quality control after the hi-cap ban was announced, and before it became law. A hi-cap body can be assembled into a hi-cap magazine after the ban, thus many manufacturers used the cheapest, quickest processes to turn out as many mag bodies as possible. This is why there are still so many aftermarket hi-cap mags floating around, and why they are for the most part, by common consensus, junk.

PMI stands for Precision Metal Industries. Some not-so-scrupulous sellers have listed ProMag magazines as PMI; however, they are completely different manufacturers.

u know, I was going to post the exact same question posted in this topic, then I decided to run a search to see if someone else did, and sure enough I found it. I was really, really hoping to hear that the mags were decent, because of the ungodly price of USGI mags, but of coarse I heard what my common sense was telling me, that they were junk, oh well, that sucks...

If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.
