Legal Issue
I am resident of Massachusetts and licienced to carry.
I recently owned and sold a Glock 23 and was interested
in purchasing a Taurus PT-145. I was told by my local gun
shop that I would not be able to purchase either weapon in Mass.
I signed up with GunBroker.com and have attempted (twice) to
contact an FFL holder registered with this website, but have
recieved no response. Can anyone out there tell me if purchasing
the Taurus out-of-state and using a third party transfer will
solve this problem?
Thanks!

I don't see how that can help you.You still have to go thru a FFL in Mass. to complete the transfer.

New rules for firearm sales in MA. The firearm must be in Ma. before 10.21.98 for sale. I live in MA. You may find one that has been in the state prior to this date for sale. You can't have one shipped into the state to a FFL dealer, they will not transfer the firearm to you. The hand gun must be MA compliant. That's why guns in MA. are costing much more that other states. Some hand gun makers will not even make MA. compliant guns, great state????!!!!! 0 -
I live in Nevada, I have been taking a lot for granted. I knew California was crazy, but the more I read the more frightened I get. I had no clue there were other crazy states out there. I guess I need to start doubling up on my letters to my representatives. 0
