Has any one had any BAD expriences with a shotgun company. I'm trying to find the right O/U for me and I want to know if there are any companies to avoid. I don't want to end up with a $1,000 piece of junk.

  At $1,000.00 you won't find junk. At $250.00 you will!
  
  If you're concerned, make sure there's a phone number, that a real person answers, and that they speak english.
  
  Hint... Say Ruger a few times and keep repeating.

  I remeber I once bought a worn out Ruger O/U for $650, and it was really worn out, had been shot so much and neglected and abused, and someone had done a horrible home customizing job on it, I ended up selling it for half of what I paid for it, a real bad deal.
  
  Buy Beretta, they make the best O/U's in the $1000 price range, actually in all price ranges, they do some awesome custom work, I'd rather a Beretta than a Kreigoff, just my opinion though.
