Closer inspection will probably reveal the name to be Iver Johnson (unless this one was made by his wife, Ivy!) You probably have a "Champion" model, mfg. from 1909-1956. Usually a shotgun in 10,12,16,20,24,28,32 ga. or .410, but also available as a rifle in .44, .45, 12mm or 14mm. Single barrel, 26-32 inches., exposed hammer, auto ejector, plain pistol grip stock. Value would depend on condition; could range from $40 to $200.

I bet if its in great shape you'd probably get $120 max for it on gunbroker. Though it may be worth more to you, I just don't find that much demand for them.

    Good luck.

If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

DG....Iver's wife was named Helga. Ivy was his girlfriend.

    Nice catch, though!

It is probably chambered for 2.5" shells, so don't use the 3" shells, if you decide to shoot it....

this might be chambered for the .44 cal. shot cartrige (.44/40 loaded w/shot)not .410, although many were rechambered for .410 and not marked. if you want to shoot it have a gunsmith make a chamber cast first so you know what you have.
