reloading for 6.5x55 swedish
Does anyone have a pet load using a 120gr Sierra pro hunter bullet. My rifle is a Winchester model 70 featherweight so it can take the higher pressures. The best I have been able to get so far is a 2" 5 shot group at 100yds. The rifle has had the action bedded and the barrel floated so I think it should be able to do better than that.

try 45.5 grains of h4350. this should get you about 3100 fps and i have found it to be an accuratte load.do not exceed 47 grains under any circumstance.

I know you will not want to here this, I gave up on winchesters a long time ago, shoot the best group you can out of a tuned up winchester, then take a remington 700 out of the box and you will shoot in side the best group the winchester shot. Sorry 0 -
also try a little up pressure on the barrel (several thicknesses of busness card)free foating a light weight barrel usualy isn't the best thing to do for accuracy. 0 -
