RUGER 10/22 RECEIVER QUESTION
I see that there is a couple of companys that sell aftermarket 10/22 receivers.I read somewhere that if you bought a new receiver only that had never been made into a rifle, that it could be made into a pistol? I see Volquartson sells a pistol based on a 10/22 designed receiver. Can it be done,or is this a question for the ATF?

The ATF has a form which is a application to build a weapon. You right down what your going to make, pay the fee and THEY decide if you can or can not and give you a serial number. Awhile ago I got a PWA AR-15 receiver and was going to do the same thing but all the local gun shops laughed and said I would be in jail if I built such a weapon. They were wrong. Don't use the Winchester ammo in that receiver, just got a box over the weekend and it didn't work in my hi-caps. Use Remington. 0
