Utica SxS Shotgun W/Hammers
I found an OLD shotgun in a pawnshop. It's a SxS 12ga with external hammers, the receiver is marked Utica on the right side. The top says London Fluid Steel. And that's about it. For the most part it's in wall hanger condition. Any special value on the gun?

Sound like a BELGUIM turn of the century Import..Back in late 1800's and early 1900's Mail Order House's and Hardware Stores were importing these Old Guns by the 1000's...Sold new for $15.00 and up, depending upon Quality of Wormanship..Engraving and Checkering..The best way to ascertain wither or not its a Belguim Import is to Look under the Barrels at the Breach End and see if there is an Oval with the letters E over LG in its center...If so...then its deffinately Belguim...If and Doubt send me a Copy of what Proof Marks and Letters and Numbers are there and I'll run it thru my database and see what I can find out.....Using your discription I'd estimate this Gun to be Worth $150.00, And I'd have it checked over real close by a competent Gunsmith before ever shooting it if you purchase it ......Best....
