regs on shipping black powder rifle to NY state

Anybody know about the state laws of NY regarding shipping of a private black powder rifle to a resident of NY? I want to sell my rifle to a person there but don't won't to run afoul of their laws. Thanks in advance....

  The thing to remember when shipping to New York, is to remember there are two NY's. There is New York City, the bouroughs, and the counties immediatly surrounding them. That's "downstate". "Upstate" is everwhere else. If you can find his town on a map and be sure it's not "downsate", you shouldn't run into any trouble shipping a muzzle loader here. I don't know the laws pertaining to muzzle loaders downstate, so you'll have to ask someone else if he's there.
  
  If it's a black powder cartridge gun the law requires it to go to a FFL if ammunition is comercially available no matter when it was made.
