In my humble opinion, Blake and A.I. they are both very precious rifles. Savage is just so so. You only get what you pay for these days, I have seen and shot a Blake custom and it shot extremely well. If I were to go searching for a custom rifle such as a Blake, it would be considered an investment in a well-built firearm. As 308 go, it will do as good as the hand loads you produce. I am a Former Marine and have had the pleasure of using 308 rounds and the hand loads are the best. Factory is just so, so. They will reach out to over 1000 yards with precision and accuracy if the rifle and ammo is that. Yes a 1000 yards, I shoot in class F matches with a custom Remington in a 308 and I have been known to shoot out the spotter. Also my friend who is a former Marine Corps amorer from Quantico Virginia MTU, has done extremely well with his. This is all due to practice and due diligence in attention to detail. 300 to 600 yards shot with a good load and rifle should be no problem with either. Just remember that it is what you want to have.
