Mepro night sites
Do I or should I have a Gunsmith put these on my guns. They suggest this.
It seems to me you only need punches for the drift pins and adjust the rear site.
I bought two sets for Ruger P85-P89's and one set for P90.

Can it be done with brass punches? Yes, if you are lucky. Remember night sights are radioactive tritium gas that is encapsulated in glass. A sight 'pusher' is not likley to break the glass capsules.
The Mepro is not known to be as 'cushioned' as the Trijies and are easier to break the glass capsules. If you are feeling lucky, try it with the punch and hammer but do it lightly.

I'd let a smith do it unless you have a gun vise. Not only do you need to tap these into place, but you often need to secure them with some red Loctite or the like. If a gunsmith doesn't have to do dovetail grooves, chances are you'll only be out a few bucks. He might even be able to do it for you in a very short period of time.
