Seecamp vs KelTecP32
In selecting a pocket pistol is the Seecamp twice as good as a KelTec as the price would indicate?
Are ther other reliable easily concealed pocket pistols that are single action rather than double action?

I definitely wouldn't say twice as good! It depends how you look at things.(Is a hand built Jaguar twice as good as a factory Toyota?) The Seecamp is handbuilt and very refined but can only use Win. Silvertip ammo and weighs twice as much as the Kel-Tec. The Kel-Tec weighs about as much as most peoples car keys and has a VERY practical clip you can get for the side of it for "no holster use". Call me prejudice but I have one of each and only seem to carry the light one! 0 -
I have the KelTec and wouldn't trade it for the world for carry.

I agree with CLINTF and gd. I too have both, and have never carried the Seecamp since I got my Kel-Tec P32. I say this even though I have an extra Seecamp LWS 32 I would like to sell. 0 -
Some people who have to bet their life on a back up gun, won't always look at $$$, or weight. It is a high quality tool inside and out.
The Seecamp is without a doubt the most reliable of the two. The Win Silvertip is/was one of the very best performing .32's. That's why the gun was matched for it.
Properly carried, in a proper holster, the weight will feel alot less.

Of all the small caliber carry guns the P-32 is KING !

I handled one of the Keltecs the other day. It's really small and light which is nice, but I just couldn't feel comfortable with the way it felt in my hand--I'm sure it would squirm too much if I shot it. I think some weight is worthwhile for stability in shooting a small gun.

The KelTec P32 with its locked breech has very mild recoil. I haven't fired a Seecamp to compare it with, but am so satisfied with my P32 that I have no desire to do any comparing. (Unless JudgeColt wants to sell me his "extra" Seecamp for about $200! )
The P32 does require some "getting used to", but I'd say that is to be expected with any ultra-compact handgun.0 -
The Seecamp is a very well made pistol, but I think its a little over pricd from the Manufacture. But I hear there is a back log on the little guns because the Factory cant neet the current demand.
BEST!!

Can't address the Seecamp, but I love my P32. I've got the (too expensive) 1-rd extension, which fits my hand much better. With my pocket holster I can carry even with just elastic waistband shorts. Fully loaded the P32 weighs less than 10oz. 0 -
I disagree that the Seecamp is the more reliable of the two. The Kel-Tec with its locked breech, is not so sensitive to grip firmness.
The Kel-Tec does not "squirm too much" in the hand. The locked breech makes it much more pleasant to shoot than the Seecamp. Anyone who has not shot a Kel-Tec cannot realize the difference the locked breech makes.
Seecamps are no longer hard to get, which, I think, is largely due to the P32 coming on the market. Of course, those who do not realize the change in the Seecamp market continue to put them on the auction site with high reserves or opening bids hundreds over market, and then wonder why they get no bids. In my opinion, Seecamps are about $400-$425 guns now, not $500 or $600 or more.0 -
I totally agree with turban. The 1-rd. extension makes a WORLD of difference.

The .32 cal in a heavier gun isn't so sensitive as a lighter gun, which becomes a function of mass.
The blowback principle doesn't require a locked breech to fire, and isn't as sensitive to a dirty round, or marginal cleaning. So. if it's kept in a pocket, or some other deep dark ditry region, it will be less susepticle to misfires. Even if it is dirty, you can usually just whack the back of the slide to put in fire mode.
Saves alot of time, and a round.
"Squirm in the hand" is relative to the hand that holds it. You can change grip surfaces if desired.
As for availability, it's not increased due to the K-T but rather to higher production.
I think the K-T is a good handgun. No question, have sold quite a few.
In the summer with lighter clothes, if I was to carry a 32, I would use it. But price, and weight aren't the only reasons people buy.

Who likes the Autauga Arms .32? 0 -
Personally I think the Kel-Tec is a better gun. Its cheaper, perfectly reliable, decently accurate, and readily avalable.
And in my opinion, by no means is the seecamp any better, in fact I don't like it as much, its heavier to lug around in your pocket, and not as readily available to find parts for, not only that but its overpriced...
If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.
