Strange coincidence that you were able to figure out that an unknown gun was made 1915-1917, since the Walther Model 6 was made 1915-1917.

If it IS a Model 6, it could be worth well in excess of $1,000. Do you have a friend who could take high resolution digital photos of it for you? If you can get photos, there are a couple of forums for German military guns on the Culver Shooting Page, and you may be able to find a Walther specialist there to help. Otherwise, your friend will have to find a local dealer/collector who can eye ball the gun.

You are, of course, correct when you say that it doesn't have to be destroyed.

Tell your friend who said it should be destroyed to cancel all his car and home and healthcare insurance.... And then move to Kalifornia and live with the rest of the liberals....

If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

nmyers, My newest blue book was where I figured out when it was made but my newest Blue book is 8 years old!! Spending too much on the guns and the ammo to buy a new one!!! Leeblackman, There are still a bunch of ill-informed people runing around this country trying to take our guns away!! I asked my friend why the person told him it needed to be destoyed and he said it was because it wasn't registered!!! I said "There's a whole safe full that aren't registered and never will be as long as I can fight!!!" GHD
