help w/id of 2 very old guns[frank wessen&diamond
the first gun i need help with is a "FRANK WESSON" IT HAS AN OCTAGON BARREL-SINGLE SHOT 2 TRIGGERS [1 FOR OPENING THE ACTION]- FOLD DOWN PEEP SIGHT BEHIND THE TRIGGER- IT HAS A REMOVABLE PLATE BESIDE THE TRIGGER-THE STOCK IS WHAT I THINK IS ROSEWOOD "VERY BEAUTIFUL" I TRIED TO USE A MICROMETER TO MEASURE THE BARREL AND ITS EITHER A .40 OR .41 I THINK.

the next one is "diamond arms" with an open stock [checkered walnut]
single shot i think it is a 410 it says BELGIM ON THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL IT ALSO HAS A DF WITH AN ARROW THU THE DF AND "44"UNDERNEATH THE DF THE GUN IS ONLY ABOUT 3 LBS IF THAT.

Frank Wesson manufactured from 1854 to 1875. Many of the rifles are configured like yours but the caliber suggests it was post 1870. You could be looking a values ranging from $100 to several thousand depending upon the exact model and condition. I would suggest it is worth having it professionally appraised.
