what kind of gun is this????

Have recently by chance stumbled across a rifle probably used in the Spanish invasion in the Rio Dulce region of Guatemala. Would like any information to link its origins, place its value etc.
The gun itself is both wooden and metal and fire is powder based.

  The Spanish invasion of Guatemala took place in 1521 so any firearm from that time would likely be a smooth bore,match lock musket. Your chance of "stumbling" over one is remote at best. I agree with Neal Myers in that we need a lot more information. Please post any and all writing on the barrel plus any other marks that you can find. If possible,post pictures of the gun and it's markings and Iam sure that someone on this forum can identify it for you. Best, Scout
