I have a 22 rifle that is all black. My father used to call it a black beauty. It loads from the rear on the butt of the stock and hold 16 bullets. It is semi-auto and I thought it was a remington but I can't find the make on it. Any idea what kind of gun this is?

It is a pistol, and it has a military style holster(leather) w/ an extra clip inside. I was told it was given to my grandfather in WWII.

I was given this gun from my grandfather, I have no idea what it is or worth. The markings on the gun is as follows: FABRIQUE-NATIONALE-HERSTAL-LIEGE. (BROWNING'S PATENT). This is along the barrel. BREVETE-SGDG? Is on the handle. Can anyone help?

If the "barrel" is round it's the 32 Browning waterpistol.
    If it's sorta oval/rectangular, it's the p35 HiPower 9mm.

Well the magazine is a single column. I don't know much about firearms so the information I can give you would be limited by what I can explain. Thanks for any help you can give me.

v35, This waterpistol you speak of, would it have a knerled barrel bushing that unscrews? a friend of mine has one and it's locked up tight, only the bushing comes off. It has all the markings that bruddascott has.

Thanks, but all the pictures I could find of the Waterpistol did not look anything like my gun. But maybe this wil help. If you go to www.belgianpistols.com/pages/history.html. The pistol at the bottom is very, very similar to my gun. The only difference is the handle grip. Hope this helps, we're getting closer. Thanks

On the home page of your reference website, the bottom center right is the 1922 Waterpistol and the bottom center left is the 1910 New Model. The 1922 has a small sliding takedown latch about an inch to the rear on the lower left hand side. After depressing the latch, about an inch of the front of the slide unscrews to release the slide spring.

Scott: You have to know someone in Las Vegas that has a DIGITAL Camera..! Take a Picture and either send it to me or Post it on the Forums...I have a Book of Browning Pistols from the Model 1903 to the Model 22, and when the Germans were building Pistols from Parts left in the Plant when the Belguims were escaping out the Back door! I'm about ready to bet the Farm that you have a Pistole 641(b) or Pistole 626(b)These were redesigned Model 1910's and When things were getting tough, the Germans were busy redesigning the Pistoles again...It gets confusing...But a Picture is worth a 1000 words...I await your pleasure
