870 Deer scope
Getting back into deer hunting this year. Looking for suggestions on a scope for a Remmington 870 for deer hunting, thanks.

I have 2 870 one has a bushnell holosight and the other has a 1.5 x 5 x 20 scope on it , i like both set ups but would have to say the the holosight is maybe a little better, no eye relief problems and you can see thru it even in first light 0 -
I switched to a Remington 1100 slug gun 2 years ago . I had an 870 slug gun , switched because I prefer semi-auto, 870 is a great slug gun. Anyway I have a Simmions 3x9x44 Ateic scope mounted on my Remington 1100. I shoot 3" Remington sabot slugs and the scope handles the recoil with no problem. I know this is a rifle scope but it has such a long eye relife that it is great for slug guns because the scope mounts are so far forward. And the cost is very reasonable. I have took 2 deer in Illinois last year with my Rem 1100 and Simmions scope combo. I travled about 650 miles one way to hunt in Illinois and the scope retained it's zero with no adjustment. It is still on at 100 yards.(1 1/2" groups)
