Browning Medallion Stock

How can I dull the finish on a gloss Medalion stock? It may have an epoxy type finish. I got a "buy" on a .338 Win Mag w/BOSS. Even with the BOSS, its a kicker and a boomer.

  the easyest way i can think of would be to put a coat of spray on satin over the top of the original finish. i use chem-pak from brownells. comes in gloss or satin.(#209-101-014) that browning finish is very tough, hard to remove and hard to rub down.
