The model 700 is by far a better gun. The model 710 is a cheap version made for the cheap minded, The price tells the story, You get what you pay for. When someone mention's the model 710 the first thing I think of is a generic dented can of cat food.
Buy the remington 700 bdl in the caliber that suites your needs, You will be clad you did.

No comparison!! Get the 700. You can probably find a used 700 for the same money and have twice the gun.

Do your self a big favor. Spend the extra money and buy a Remington 700 BDL, ADL, or DBM rifle. I have about a dozen of them, custom jobs and factory rifles. These are great rifles for hunting and target shooting. The 710 in the words of my gunsmith friend is the biggest black eye Remington could have given it self. Very poor qualty for such a fine gun company.
