Winchester 101- Info??
Can anyone help me date/value a Winchester 101 12 gauge? All I can say about it is that it is over/under, made in japan, appears to be older. Barrels are 26" long, ribbed, two dots. All steel is blued, 2 3/4" chamber. I can't find a serial number anywhere on it, just the red "W" on the gun handle butt. It is very lightweight. ANYONE who can help with information about it would be greatly appreciated. I love the gun, just want to know more about it. Please feel free to email me at bri3167@aol.com if that's easier than posting here. Thank you in advance for any help.

BRI,
Welcome to GB. I think if you braek the gun open, you will find the serial # on the frame. It's been a while since I had one of them, but I'm sure it has a serial # somewhere.

Hi and welcome need more info but sounds like a late 60s early 70s win 101 japan built nice gun but only books around 750 0 -
The serial number is under the top lever that opens the gun. Look on the left side of the barrels after removing the forearm and right in front of the reciever it will have the choke designation stamped on each barrel. It sounds like you may have a skeet gun if it has two beads on the barrel rib. My 20 gauge 101 was bought new in 1971 and it is serial number K201xxx. Hope this helps. 0
