Double feed in AR15
I have a Bushmaster Ar15. I'm shooting the South African surplus ammo. Every once in a while a spent case won't get ejected completely and the next live round won't feed jamming the spent case. The result is that there's a spent case and a loose live round in the revceiver.
I had a trigger job done on the rifle.
Could it be the ejector?
Could it be the disconnector?
Could it be the ammo?
Any ideas?

Try a different magazine, I used to experience the same thing when I was in the military, the magazine was the culprit most of the time, also make sure that your chamber area is clean where the bolt locks up.Another thing to look at is your extractor on the right side of your bolt, it may have a burr on it,this too would cause the problem you describe,This should take care of your problem, good luck...

Not lacquered-steel cases is it, like the Wolf stuff folks complain about? I was at a tactical pistol course a few days ago, guy next to me was shooting an S&W in .45ACP (didn't catch what model) he'd borrowed with the Wolf stuff & I'd say it'd double-feed / fail-to-eject about every second or third shot. Instructor thought it might have just been the S&W or maybe limp-wristing, or the particular mag. I suggested he switch to brass-cased ammo & Voila! No More Jams. What works fine in some guns just ain't worth the time wasted in others, despite the savings. 0
