Sig P225 Grips
I acquired a like new P225 that is in almost every respect just great. But I wanted a bit more grip fill so someone sold me some Pachmayr grips. The problem is they just don't seem to fit my gun right. It looks like it'll take my smith to fit them.
Are aftermarket grips a roll of the dice in terms of fitting? I've had a couple that needed more than a screwdriver to get right. Rather exasperating.

Pachmayr grips sometimes are a bit tight. Once they are fitted, a few rounds will set them in place.

Well even my gunsmith found this one a bit much. The screw holes weren't centered and it certainly wasn't worth having him spend a gob of time trying to make them fit when they clearly were poorly cut in the first place.
Since no one makes grips for the P225 anymore (unless you pay through the nose for wood ones) I bought a Hogue Handall. Works just fine. I'd still like to have fitted grips, but this will do for now.
