Need Rem Nylon 66 instructions
I have an old Nylon 66, given to me, very used, by my uncle. The magazine tube does not want to stay locked in place. Does anyone have a diagram or instructions ? Thanks for your time.

Tex-- Go to the Remington Arms web site. Look for the "contact us" or "help" prompt and click on them. They will send you an owner's manual or instrucion sheet for free, and it happens pretty quickly. That's the easiest way I know how to do it. I recently obtained an instuction sheet from them for a rifle last made in 1936, so they've got stuff going back pretty far.
You may have to roll a slight crimp in the magazine outer tube if it's really worn. Most of these tubular magazines are held in place by friction and a small pin that engages a "j"-shaped slot in the outer tube.

I contacted remington and they mailed me a photo copy of the original instruction manual.
If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

Usually, it's the end of the inner magazine tube where the little pin engages that gets worn or bent. If it's not broken off, it can be reshaped to work.

Just a comment-I own a Nylon 66 too and it's the most accurate .22 I've ever fired hands down. There's probably more accurate .22s out there but mine outshot the Ruger (forgot the model, it's the one with the rotary magazine) my wife has.
If I remember correctly in the 80's there was a copy put out called a "Black Beauty". A friend of mine had one and as far as I could tell it was an exact copy of a 66. Maybe some of these are still floating around, might be useful for parts.
