Novac Sights on Springfield
I have a Springfield Custom 1911 Loaded and it has Novac sights.Everytime I put a 100 or so Rnds through it the Allen screw that holds the sight down works loose. The sights are adjustible and I will tighten the allen screw down so tight my Craftsman allen wrench will bend, its tiny of course.Whats your opinions on lineing the sights up and putting Loc Tite on the allen head screw? I really dont have any other ideas.I hate to put Loc Tite on it.But do you have any suggestions?? Thanks in Advance?

Yes loctite works great. Get yorself a nice bottle of pink loctite. The pink is for small screws and has a low strength rating. The blue is actually stronger then needed and can creat problems in the future
You may have to special order the pink from a catalog or off the internet somewhere, But it's a better choice for working on delicate gun parts.0
