Inland M1 Carbine Value?
Hello everyone,
I would like your opinions on this carbine. It's an original WW2Inland, and has the original stock with the "OI" in the well. I've had it for about 12 years and only have fired it 3 times. The barrel has "Blue Sky Arlington VA" stamped on it. The tag on the gun said it was an export to Israel in the 50's. It has a replacement band with the bayonet lug, The original broke. The bore looks good.
I would say the condition is just shooter's grade, the stock shows it's age, though they did re-Parkerize the metal parts. I have a lot of extras such as the Korean War era bayonet, an Korean War era original bandolier loaded with Lake City ammo dated 1953, 5-15 rd. clips and 4-30 round clips and the buttstock mag pouch.
I just don't ever get a chance to shoot this anymore because of the area I live in. Opinions?

At best, it would sell in the $300-400 range. Many of the Blue Sky carbines had the import mark stamped so hard that it flattened one side of the barrel; these are worth even less.

Neal is in the ballpark with the value. Blue Sky Productions imported M1 Garands and Carbines from South Korea. I have one exactly as you have described, only it was made by Winchester. I doubt if yours ever went to Israel. Mine came with a bayonet lug barrel band, and most of them will have at least a couple of replacement parts made in Korea. 0 -
I have a carbine very similar to what you explained, I think I paid $400 for it.
If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

I to have a Winchester Carbine with Blue Sky stamped on the lt side of the barrel. The stamping is deep, but not so much that it flatened the barrel. Its a good shooter and thats about it.
The Blue Sky stamp does detract from its value. The above figure is about right. The extra stuff you have to go with it will help to get you more money for it.
