Carlos Hathcock (White Feather) M-25 ?

At a price of $4195.00 plus all of the fees and taxes. More like 4500+
bucks,. Do think it would be worth it, 20 years down the road Value wise? I am turning 40 in Oct. My wife said I could buy anything BUT nothing on my wish list-

all kidding aside, do you think the M-25 is worth the price and will hold it's value?

    cpermd is absolutelty correct. The M21 will shoot with accuracy that most people can't acheive, for far less money.

    I fired a 5 shot group with one at the range here one time.I was wanting one myself so when I saw somebody shooting one I had to ask.The groups were no better than my M1A that cost $3,000.00 less.I didnt really want one anymore.Way to exspensive when the same accuracy can be had for alot less.For that price you can 2-3 good rifles that will still be more accurate than you are.Spend wisely.

    I think Carlos Hathcock would be kinda ticked off that they were taking advantage of his name with such a rifle, unless he was getting paid for it of coarse.

    I think your under the wrong impression if you think your gonna get bolt gun accuracy outa the M25. I'd say sure get one if you really want it, but if you want something your gonna actually shoot you may want to look into you alternatives. I don't think your going to be impressed with what your getting for the money. I looked at one at a gun show and was kinda insulted they wanted so much money just because they had a white feather ingraved in it. Personally I was kinda wishing they made one without all the fancy engrave and title for cheaper, cause thats what your paying for. The name not the gun.

    If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

    If you are really wanting that type of M1A get the M21 Tactical.It runs around $2,000.00-$2,500.00 and is virtually the same weapon just without the feather and a famous Snipers name.I say just add some goodies to your standard M1A though like scope and Krieger stnls. barrel.Cheaper and will end up with the similar look.

    Leeblackman, I have a friend who is a salesman for MD, Del, and VA in the auto glass industry. he services an account in Va, where Carlos used to frequent to chat with friends. During a conversation with him, Carlos told my friend that he knew companies were going to capitalize on his name, but he didn't try to stop it because his wife gets a percentage of ANY product which refers to his name or the White Feather trademark, therefore, she is taken care of for life, with reguards to income. Wish I had the chance to meet him

    Don't do it. You can outshoot it for a fraction of the price.
    The commemorative market is loaded with guns honoring every possible person or event. Collectors want them NIB with all the papers and ribbons. If you use it, you will have diminished its' value so what's the point.

    Thanks for all of the replys, I had a feeling that was going to be the case. I have a Std. M1A and is suits me just fine. Oh- and thanks to all of you on the insite of the on the value aspect of it.
