I saw your response on the gun bluing topic here. What companies offer that hard chrome finish? What is the cost?

Honestly I don't have the phone number to the place I had mine done at here at home, its at the office in my rolodex. I can get it tomarrow for you if your really interested. Also I swear by it. It the best finish next to the tenifer finish I've ever had done or seen. Actually I'd almost put it better than the tenifer finish as it doesn't show wear at all.
The place I had mine done has gunsmiths there to make sure things lock up right when its done. And I've seen for a fact on how a loose rattley old decrepped firearm that I wouldn't shoot for my life was totally revitalized, it was absolutely amazing.
If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

I m defintely interested.Im looking for a corrosion resistant durable finish for one of my pistols.I was considering the Ro-Guard finish by Ro-Bar but wouldnt mind the look of the Hard Chrome.I sure would appreciate that number or any other places you know who does it.

Yea, hardchrome would be a far superior finish, and like I mentioned you can always have a baked on poly coat, gun-coat, np3, or whatever done over it. But the hardchrome will never wear off in your lifetime, though the others will. It will never rust. And will vurtually last forever. I mean some good stuff. It was originally designed for use on industrial bits and tooling, made bearing surfaces and edges last far longer than ever before.
If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

Honestly if I had the money, every gun in my collection except for a rare few would be hard chromed.
