Glock +2 mags.
I was at a gunshow saturday and saw the +2 extension mag bottoms on a dealers table. The question is way are they large, different?I have a couple G19s and all the mags have factory +2.The dealer said the old style was defective.I don't believe this, but was wondering why Glock would change styles on them.Mine are factory Glock, and the dealers had the Glock logo on the bottom also. Thanks,CW

It sounds like the guy was just trying to get you to buy some of his.
Glock did make some changes in their bases, but it was on the standard mags, not with the +2 bases.
Bevin Graham, in Costa Mesa cal. makes a +5 base that works great, but of course it protrudes quite a bit.0 -
I have seen both types, and both were Glock manufacture. There is a difference between the two types,I was just wondering why.CW

At one time Glock +2's had a problem with coming loose. When police officers were getting in and out of their car with a holstered pistol the bottom of the mag being slid across the seat back would cause it to sort of peel off of the mag. You'd then end up with a mag's worth of ammo spilled in your car seat. I saw this happen to folks more than once. 0
