blackpodwer shotgun help ID
Ok got a fun one. I came across a J.D.Dougal SxS blackpowder Hammered shotgun, very nice scroll work, very high grade wood. On the rib is "Made by J.D Dougal for His Highness Crown Prince of Wales"
Id say it is about 90% condition. Unfortunately I dont have it in my possession yet, still working the deal. This piece ring any bells??

I ran a search on Google.com and found J.D.Dougle listed as an old English gunmaker, many of his guns were of very high grade and presented as gifts to the well healed of the time.
