Can a Remington model 788 in a .308 cal be converted to a .358
Winchester?

  Yes, I have had several 788 conversions, 38-55, 25-35 and 445 supermag, and have several more to go 358, 257, 284. The only thing you have to look at is the round feeding properly from the magazine, it may need slight modification. Dave VanHorn does great work in this area. He is located in Gilbert Arizona, right outside of Phoenix.
