Colt 1911 .455 Webley
I understand that these are RAF issue in WWI. How much are these worth with 60-70% original finish with two original lanyard mags? I'm curious because I know where one is. Thanks.

Almost correct. They were issued to the Royal Navy in W.W.I, and re-issued to the R.A.F. and the R.C.A.F. in W.W. II. You're probably looking at $650-$700 in 70%. 0 -
The price was derived from the "Blue Book", and 60-70% was quoted, so I edged a little toward the lower. Afterall, a 60 % can be "not too nice". Collectors want 98% or better. I sold one of these last year in about 90% for $1,200. They're not really that rare, just scarce in collecor condition. Sure-there's always someone who will pay too much or sell below value; and to some extent that's what gun trading is all about. 0 -
Were these 1911s manufactured by Colt in .455 Webley as the original chambering or were they rechambered by the British from .45 ACP? Thanks! 0 -
They were manufactured in .455 Webley. Some magazines are marked .455 Eley. 0
